2023 Annual Tennessee State Open Checker Tournament will be held on Friday and Saturday, March 3^rd and 4^th at the Comfort Suites in Lebanon, TN. 37090. The hotel is located on highway 231 (904 Murfreesboro Road) near I-40 (take exit 238 north off I-40 ramp and make left turn onto US-231 N/S Cumberland St. / TN-10 N, back across I-40, hotel on right).

For reservations at Comfort Suites, call 615-443-0027 for the 2^nd ($89.95 on the 2^nd and $124.95 on the 3^rd  and 4^th plus 18.75% tax) so Total Cost for Thursday & Friday = $255.20 or Econo Lodge located 829 S Cumberland Street, 615-444-1001 for the 2^nd cost $64.95 and $74.95 on the 3^rd  and 4^th ) so Total Cost for Thursday & Friday = $166.13.  Please call before midnight February 16^th, (2 weeks in advance) for reservations. There is no guarantee that the rates will apply or that the rooms will be available after that date. Please make your reservations early, since you may cancel them as late as 4pm the day before your arrival. Our conference room cost is a daily fee of $150.00 + 18.75% tax = $178.13.

A nice hot breakfast is available at Comfort Suites for all checker players even if you lodge at Econo Lodge. We play in the main conference room on the 1^st floor at Comfort Suites. Ms. Tamara Tomlin, Sales & Mk Mgr - gm.TN316@choicehotels.com is our contact person. The tournament will consist of 4 rounds played on Friday and 3 rounds on Saturday. Registration will begin at 8am on Friday followed by a business meeting at 9am. Play will start immediately following the business meeting and end on Saturday. We anticipate having ≈ $4,000.00 cash prize fund.

Larry and Randy are planning a youth division and awarding 4 place finisher trophies. 1^st place winner, thru 2^nd, 3^rd, and 4^th place winners!  These are beautiful trophies you will be proud to display for your checker tournament accomplishment.  So please bring your grandkids, young nephews, & nieces!  We are expecting at least 6 entrants.
